More than 82,300 seedlings imported from Uzbekistan have been returned, - Ministry of Agriculture
During an inspection at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya" in the Batken region, employees of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine discovered that the packaging of 82,830 imported seedlings lacked the necessary labeling.
According to the resolution of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council No. 157 dated November 30, 2016, each package of quarantine products must contain labeling with information about the name of the product, the country of origin, and the exporting or re-exporting country.
The absence of labeling on quarantine cargo is a violation of the unified phytosanitary requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union, which was the reason for the return of this cargo back to the exporting country.
