- In Kyrgyzstan, 28,762 seedlings imported from Uzbekistan were returned to the exporting country. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic.

According to information provided by the ministry, on February 23, 2026, at the phytosanitary control post "Kyzyl-Kiya," which is under the Batken management of the Department of Chemicalization, Plant Protection, and Quarantine, it was found during an inspection that the packaging lacked the required labeling.

According to the rules established by the Eurasian Economic Commission Council on November 30, 2016 (decision No. 157), each package of quarantine products must have labeling indicating its name, country of origin, and the exporting or re-exporting country.

The ministry noted that the import of quarantine goods without the necessary labeling is a violation of the unified quarantine phytosanitary legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union. As a result, the batch of seedlings was returned to the sender.
