Farmers will be able to obtain loans if they have experience, conditions, and collateral, - Ministry of Agriculture
Kanybek uulu noted that to obtain a loan, farmers must demonstrate experience in livestock management, ensure proper conditions, including the availability of facilities and a feed base, and provide appropriate collateral. An important aspect is the borrower's credit history.
“If the collateral meets the requirements, the loan will be issued. In case of insufficient collateral, the Guarantee Fund comes to the rescue. For example, if a farmer requests 5 million soms, but the collateral is only 2.5 million, the missing funds can be covered by the fund,” he explained.
He emphasized that an important condition of the project is the creation of clusters, where participants will work closely together.
“Joining in a cluster is a fundamental element of the project. All participants must be interconnected,” he added.
According to Kanybek uulu, this model will reduce the number of intermediaries that contribute to price increases.
“When a farmer sells livestock, the intermediary buys it at a lower price and then resells it at a higher price, which leads to an increase in the final cost for the consumer,” he pointed out.
Although it is currently impossible to completely eliminate intermediaries, their influence on pricing will be minimized.
Additionally, he reported that the project takes into account the differences in cost for farmers and does not imply strict price fixing. Financing covers not only livestock fattening but also feed, supplements, veterinary drugs, and other necessary resources.
Thus, the project offers a comprehensive approach that encompasses all stages of production.
