During the census, information will be collected on the following aspects:
• the use and availability of agricultural land;
• areas of agricultural crop sowing;
• the number of agricultural animals and poultry;
• available agricultural machinery;
• the operation of peasant (farm) and personal subsidiary farms.
The results of the study will serve as a basis for shaping state policy and developing programs aimed at the development of the agricultural sector, as well as improving state support for agricultural producers.
“The census will create an objective picture of the state of agriculture, identify key areas for its development, and improve the quality of management decisions,” the statement notes.
The National Statistical Committee urges the residents of the country to approach the census with understanding and to cooperate with the census staff by providing the necessary information.
“The data provided will be confidential. The information will be used only in aggregated form in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic,” the committee reports.
