Mineral extraction in Kyrgyzstan increased by 47.2% in January-February, amounting to 14.5 billion soms
In February 2026, the extraction volume reached 7.27 billion soms, significantly higher than the 4.72 billion soms for the same month last year. The physical volume index for this month was 152.8%.
The main factor for the increase in volumes was the rise in the extraction of metallic ores. In January and February, the production volume amounted to 10.85 billion soms, which is 1.75 times higher than the figures for the same period last year.
Additionally, there was also a significant increase in the category of other minerals: the production volume increased more than four times, reaching 270.5 million soms.
At the same time, the extraction of crude oil and natural gas decreased, with a physical volume index of 88.6% for the first two months of 2026.
