Milk production in Kyrgyzstan increased by 3% in the first two months of 2026
According to the agency's data, as of March 1, 2026, the volume of raw milk production increased from 176.3 thousand tons in 2025 to 181.6 thousand tons. This growth was also driven by an increase in productivity: the average milk yield per cow in the country rose from 220.6 to 230.8 kg.
Chuy Region ranks first in milk production in the republic, accounting for 28.4% of the total volume, which is 51.5 thousand tons. Following are Osh Region with 34.4 thousand tons and Issyk-Kul Region with 33.5 thousand tons.
In Chuy Region, the average milk yield is 378.8 kg, which is 64% higher than the average figure for the entire republic.
