- New veterinary and sanitary measures have been implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by the Department for the Control of Epizootics of the Veterinary Service under the Ministry of Agriculture.

In the department, it was noted that these measures are being taken to "prevent the introduction and spread of infectious diseases among animals."

Particular attention is being paid to preventing the import and spread within the country of pathogens of infectious diseases, as well as products and food items of animal origin that do not meet veterinary and biological standards. These measures were introduced in accordance with the World Organisation for Animal Health's Code of Animal Health and the Kyrgyz Republic law "On Veterinary Medicine."

Furthermore, the Ministry of Agriculture did not rule out the possibility of introducing temporary restrictions on the import of animals and animal products from countries where outbreaks of infectious diseases have been recorded.
