The official opening of the "Francophonie 2026" events took place in Bishkek on March 25, as reported by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This event has become an important initiative promoting cultural exchange and the unification of peoples through language and universal human values.
The opening ceremony was attended by high-ranking guests such as the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic Askaraly Shukuraliyevich Madaminov, the Ambassador of France Nicolas Fay, the Ambassador of the European Union Remy Duflo, and the Ambassador of Switzerland Sirocco Messerli.
Francophonie, as an international platform, aims to promote the French language and cultural diversity, as well as to strengthen dialogue between countries. The main principles of this initiative are mutual respect, equality, and the preservation of cultural traditions.
The event also featured a performance by pianist Fonctions Féminines, showcasing her talent.
The organizers expressed hope that "Francophonie 2026" will become a source of new ideas and strengthen cultural ties between states, contributing to further cooperation.
