From January to September of this year, Russia increased gold imports from Kazakhstan by 1.6 times, reaching a total of 195.6 million dollars, as reported by RIA Novosti.

During this time, Kazakhstan exported gold exclusively to the CIS countries, with Russia ranking second among its buyers, purchasing 49.2% of the total export volume. Kyrgyzstan was the leader in purchases.

As for silver, its supplies to Russia over the nine months amounted to only 1.033 million dollars, which is more than 25% less than last year.

This figure accounts for less than 1% of Kazakhstan's total silver exports. The main importers of silver remain the United Kingdom (46%) and the United States (32%).
