On January 18, a serious railway disaster occurred in the province of Córdoba, located in the autonomous community of Andalusia: a high-speed train heading to Madrid derailed. The rear part of the train flew onto the opposite tracks, colliding with another train. As a result of this impact, the first two carriages overturned, and the entire train fell from a four-meter slope. The causes of the incident remain unknown.
As a result of the incident, dozens of people were injured, and some of them are in critical condition. According to reports, at the time of the accident, there were about 300 passengers on the train. Rescue operations are ongoing, and searches for the missing continue.
