
The incident occurred when a train belonging to the Iryo company, traveling from Malaga to Madrid, derailed and crossed onto an adjacent track, where it collided with a train heading to Huelva. The head of the municipality of Adamus, where the train derailment occurred, reported that he was one of the first to arrive at the scene. "I saw a passenger who was mutilated beyond recognition," the official shared in a comment to the newspaper El Pais.
