According to available information, the accident involved equipment used in the construction of the Rama-2 elevated expressway in Samut Sakhon province, located southeast of the capital. The crane fell onto the road, crushing several cars under its steel structures.
According to volunteers, one person has died; however, official sources have not yet confirmed information about casualties. Rescue workers are currently continuing their efforts at the scene of the incident.
This incident comes on the heels of the completion of search operations following a train disaster in Nakhon Ratchasima that occurred on January 14, resulting in the deaths of at least 32 people.
