According to the agency, on the day of the incident, the police were temporarily closing traffic due to the transportation of a suspect in a serious crime under guard.
During the closure, one citizen did not comply with the lawful request of the officer and attempted to cross the road. In an effort to quickly remove him from the danger zone, he lost his balance and fell. A bystander immediately came to help and took him to a safe place.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens to maintain public order and follow the instructions of police officers to ensure safety.
It was previously reported that the incident occurred on the evening of January 10 at the intersection of Chuy Avenue and Beyshenaliyev Street. The video shows that during the traffic closure due to an approaching convoy, the patrol officer was pushing pedestrians off the roadway. One of the men, who tried to run across the road, fell after colliding with the police officer, after which a passerby helped him up. After the incident, the man expressed dissatisfaction with the actions of the patrol officer.
