Marine accident in Thailand: Kyrgyz citizens refused hospitalization


According to information provided by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the incident occurred on the boat Korawich Marine 888, which collided with a fishing vessel near Phuket. Both Kyrgyz citizens on board were unharmed and refused the offer of hospitalization. Their health condition is assessed as stable.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan reported that the embassy in Malaysia quickly established contact with the Kyrgyz citizens through the Honorary Consul in Thailand. Personal contact was confirmed, and there are no threats to their health.

As a result of the collision, 55 people were injured; however, none of them are citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The diplomatic mission continues to monitor the situation's development.

According to available information, both citizens plan to return to their homeland on January 15, 2026.
