There are no Kyrgyz citizens among the victims of the terrorist attack in Sydney — Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On December 15, a terrorist act occurred in Sydney, as a result of which, fortunately, there are no citizens of Kyrgyzstan among the victims. This information was announced by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kyrgyz diplomatic institutions maintain constant contact with Kyrgyz citizens located in Australia.

The ministry also urged Kyrgyz citizens, whether temporarily or permanently residing in Australia, to exercise caution and follow the instructions of local authorities.

In case of emergencies, Kyrgyz citizens can seek assistance by calling the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hotline: +996 999 312002 (WhatsApp), as well as the hotline of the Kyrgyz Embassy in Japan: 090 6378 7231.

It should be noted that as a result of the armed attack on Bondi Beach in Sydney, 16 people were killed, and another 40 were injured. According to preliminary data, unknown individuals opened fire on vacationers at the beach.
