Three Chinese nationals killed in Tajikistan as a result of an attack from Afghanistan

A tragic incident occurred in southern Tajikistan, where three Chinese citizens became victims of an attack organized from the Afghan side.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, the attack took place on the night of November 26 in the area of Shamsiddin Shohina, located in the Khatlon region, which borders Afghanistan. The attack was carried out by criminals operating from the territory of the neighboring country against employees of the company "Shohin SM".

This area is under the control of the 1st border post "Istiklol," which belongs to the "Yol" border detachment of the Khatlon region.

As a result of the attack, three employees of the company were killed, all of whom are citizens of China.

The ministry's statement noted that the crime was committed using firearms and drones equipped with grenades.

The statement also emphasized that despite all efforts by Tajik authorities to ensure security and create conditions for mutually beneficial cooperation in border areas, criminal elements operating on Afghan territory continue to pose a threat to stability in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan strongly condemned the attack and expressed condolences over the deaths of the three Chinese citizens.

The authorities of Tajikistan called on the Afghan government to take effective measures to maintain security and stability at the border.
