U.S. President Donald Trump described the shooting that occurred near the White House as an "act of hate and terror," promising "swift justice" for the shooter. A video message was posted on his account on X.

According to Trump, the suspect in the shooting arrived in the country from Afghanistan in 2021, during the presidency of his predecessor, Joe Biden, calling that country a "hellhole on earth."

He emphasized the need for thorough vetting of all foreigners who came to the U.S. from Afghanistan during the Biden administration and stated his intention to remove those who do not contribute positively to society. "If someone is unable to love our country, they do not belong here," Trump added. The president also noted that America will not yield to threats of terror.

Trump pointed out that the attack on National Guard members highlights the main national security threat related to the fact that "the previous administration allowed 20 million unvetted foreigners into the country."

He characterized this as "a crime against the entire nation and humanity."

Additionally, Trump assured that the shooter would face "severe consequences" for his actions.

The incident occurred on November 26 at 2:15 PM (01:15 Bishkek time), resulting in serious injuries to two members of the U.S. National Guard.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth reported that Trump ordered the deployment of an additional 500 National Guard troops to the capital following the incident.
