According to him, "Afrikaners are being killed, and their lands and farms are being seized illegally. As long as the human rights situation in South Africa remains this way, no representative from the U.S. will attend the G20," he added.
Furthermore, Trump expressed hope that the next G20 summit will take place in 2026 in Miami, Florida.
Earlier, media reports mentioned that the U.S. delegation at the summit in South Africa could be led by Vice President J.D. Vance; however, Reuters sources confirmed that he will not attend the event.
It is worth noting that during a meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in May 2025, Trump had already accused the country's authorities of persecuting the white population, to which Pretoria responded by denying these accusations.
