On the Truth Social platform, Trump stated that these six politicians should "be in jail" rather than appearing on "fake news" channels. In his opinion, their words "leave no room for interpretation" and pose a threat to national security.

Earlier this week, Trump had already spoken out against senators and members of the House of Representatives, calling them "traitors" and threatening them with the death penalty. Among the accused are three women and three men who previously served in the military or worked in intelligence. They published a video message urging active military personnel and intelligence officers not to obey "illegal orders" and criticized the use of the military against protesters in Los Angeles, as well as the killings of alleged drug couriers off the coast of Latin America.

Among those who signed this appeal are Senator Elissa Slotkin (a former CIA officer), Senator Mark Kelly (a former naval officer and astronaut), as well as Congress members Chris Deluzio, Jason Crow, Maggie Hassan, and Chrissy Houlahan, who also have experience serving in the Navy and the U.S. Air Force.

The Democratic Party strongly condemned Trump's threats, calling them "absolutely disgusting" and expressing concerns about a possible increase in political violence in the country.

According to the U.S. Constitution, treason includes waging war against the country or aiding its enemies. Punishment can range from fines and imprisonment to the death penalty, but the final decision is made by the court.
