
On November 24, the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, as well as some regions of the country, will face an increase in the concentration of suspended particles, such as PM10 and PM2.5, which poses a threat to public health. This information was announced by the hydrometeorological agency of Tajikistan, referring to the news agency "Khovar".
According to meteorologists' forecasts, dust masses will spread from the southwest, west, and south directions, covering cities and areas including Khatlon, regions under republican subordination, and Sughd region.
Fine particles PM2.5 and PM10 can penetrate deeply into the respiratory system, having particularly negative effects on children, the elderly, and people with chronic illnesses.
It is recommended that residents of the affected areas take precautions and closely monitor updates on air quality.
