The authorities of Moldova plan to terminate the visa-free agreement signed in 1992 in Bishkek by the CIS countries. This decision will exclusively affect the citizens of Tajikistan 🇹🇯 and Kyrgyzstan 🇰🇬.

As noted by Moldovan news sources, a draft of the corresponding decision has been prepared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will be discussed at a cabinet meeting on November 12.

If the initiative receives approval, the document will be sent for final approval to the parliament.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova emphasized that the denunciation of the agreement will not affect citizens of Russia, as there is a separate bilateral agreement between Moldova and the Russian Federation that will remain in force.

Thus, the changes will exclusively concern those countries with which Moldova does not have similar agreements, namely Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
