Uzbekistan introduces a visa-free regime for U.S. citizens

According to the presidential decree, the visa-free regime for Americans will come into effect on January 1, 2026, allowing them to stay in Uzbekistan for up to 30 days. This became known through a report by UzA.

The decree also outlines the goals of the innovation, including the development of trade, economic, and cultural-humanitarian ties, as well as increasing tourist exchange between the countries.

Since 2021, there has already been an opportunity for U.S. citizens aged 55 and over to enter Uzbekistan visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism purposes, according to the information.
Information about the intention to introduce a visa-free regime for U.S. citizens was mentioned in a decree issued on May 15 of this year, which concerned increasing the flow of tourists to the country in this context.

In the same document, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was instructed to begin negotiations with the United States to ease visa conditions for Uzbek citizens planning trips to the U.S.
