This initiative has been in effect since 2007 and is extended every two years.
According to the data, in 2025, 4,315 citizens of Kyrgyzstan requested consultations on employment in Korea through the EPS program. Two stages of testing for knowledge of the Korean language were organized for participation in the project, in which 339 out of 1,350 participants successfully passed the exam.
Labor contracts were signed with 225 candidates, and 232 citizens of Kyrgyzstan left for work, among whom were 30 women.According to information from the Ministry of Labor, most of the employed Kyrgyz citizens work in the food, chemical, and paper industries, as well as in factories producing plastic, rubber, and glass products. The average salary in this sector is $1,700.
Currently, more than 1,500 citizens of Kyrgyzstan are working in South Korea under the EPS program, as stated in the message.
