
As of December 1, 2025, the official unemployment rate in Kyrgyzstan was 1.4%. This information was provided by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration.
According to data from the National Statistical Committee, the population of the country as of October 1, 2025, reached 7 million 374 thousand people.
The total labor force of the country is 2 million 861 thousand people, of which 2 million 756 thousand are employed, while 104.7 thousand are unemployed. The overall unemployment rate is estimated at 3.7%.
The Ministry of Labor noted that as of December 1, there were 58 thousand 565 unemployed registered with employment services, which is 21.5% less than in the same period last year. The officially registered unemployed number 39 thousand 841, which also represents a decrease of 26% compared to the previous year.
- Among the registered unemployed, 23 thousand 422 people have a general secondary education, of which 10 thousand 244 are women.
- 9 thousand 435 people have a basic general education (five to nine grades).
- There are 2 thousand 586 unemployed with higher education, 2 thousand 447 with secondary vocational education, and 1 thousand 450 with primary vocational education.
- Seven people without primary education are also registered.
The ministry emphasizes that the state employment service is actively working to create conditions for the employment of citizens and to enhance their professional qualifications.
