
As of December 1, 2025, the labor force in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 2.861 million people. Of these, 2.756 million were employed, while 104.7 thousand remained unemployed. Thus, the overall unemployment rate in the country reached 3.7%, as reported in a press release from the Ministry of Labor of the Kyrgyz Republic.
According to the data, 58,565 unemployed individuals are currently registered with employment services, which is 21.5% less than last year. The officially registered unemployed amount to 39,841 people, which is also 26% lower compared to the same period in 2024.
The distribution of registered unemployed by education level is as follows:
- higher education — 2,586 (of which women — 1,683)
- secondary vocational — 2,447 (of which women — 1,496)
- primary vocational — 1,450 (of which women — 621)
- general primary education (grades 1–4) — 501 (of which women — 216)
- basic general education (grades 5–9) — 9,435 (of which women — 4,205)
- secondary general education (grades 10–11) — 23,422 (of which women — 10,244)
- without primary education — 7 (of which women — 0)
