Compared to December 31, 2024, the external debt increased by $648.04 million, while the internal debt rose by $1 billion 474.9 million (see source).
Thus, the total increase in national debt amounted to $2.1 billion.
The most significant part of the internal debt is related to loans from long-term securities, which total $3 billion 495.54 million (99% of the internal debt). The external debt is mainly represented by loans from the Export-Import Bank of China, amounting to $1 billion 499.16 million (29%). As of October 31, the level of national debt reached 42.71% of the expected GDP for 2025.
