Minister of Finance: Kyrgyzstan's external debt has decreased to 37 percent of GDP

The Minister of Finance noted that there is a possibility of early repayment of part of the debt.

According to statements by Almaz Baketaev, Kyrgyzstan's external debt has decreased to 37% of the gross domestic product (GDP).

He explained that such results have been achieved over the past four years due to the implementation of the president's directives regarding the reduction of the debt burden on the state budget.

“The Asian Development Bank and other external auditors have confirmed the stability of the country's financial positions. We have no overdue obligations, and we even have the opportunity to make early repayment of part of the debt,” the minister added.
