Baketaev noted that the achievements in the country's financial policy are substantial. He also provided data from external auditors, including experts from the Asian Development Bank, who confirmed the sustainability of Kyrgyzstan's external debt.
According to him, the republic is in a good financial position, with no overdue obligations. Moreover, there is a possibility of early repayment of part of the debt, which adds confidence in the stability of the state's financial condition.
The minister emphasized that there are no grounds for concern regarding debt obligations, as the current situation is under control.
It should be noted that President Sadyr Japarov previously stated that from 2020 to 2025, 285.4 billion soms would be allocated for servicing the state debt, of which 170.5 billion is external debt and 114.9 billion is internal. At such rates of economic growth, he believes that the external debt could be repaid by 2035.
