U.S. President Donald Trump commented on the country's external debt situation, which has reached an astronomical amount of 38 trillion dollars. According to RIA Novosti, Trump noted that the reason for this is ineffective management.
“There have been unreasonable people in power, many unreasonable people. That is why we are facing such a debt,” he stated during his speech at the White House.
Additionally, Trump emphasized that the tariffs he imposed could help reduce the external debt.
“These measures are helping us to start the process of debt repayment,” the president added.
