Photo from the archive. The Osh – Kara-Suu road will be expanded to four lanes
It was previously reported that there are plans to expand this highway to four lanes, with two lanes in each direction. According to preliminary designs, sidewalks and bike paths will be arranged along the new road, as well as modern lighting installed and landscaping of the median strip conducted.
The oversight of the implementation of this directive has been assigned to the department responsible for monitoring the execution of the president's and government's decisions.
In the spring, the president also mentioned that an additional 4 billion soms had been allocated from the stabilization fund for the development of road infrastructure in the Osh region.
