A meeting took place at the Ministry of Finance between Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev and the head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission, Dmitry Gershensson.
During the discussion, current economic trends were reviewed, as well as important aspects of tax and budget policy and plans for its further development. IMF representatives noted positive changes in the country's macroeconomic situation, emphasizing successes in budgetary and tax policy and the growth of the sustainability of public debt.
Minister Baketaev expressed gratitude to the IMF for the fruitful dialogue and support for reforms aimed at improving the macroeconomic stability and financial sustainability of the Kyrgyz Republic.
