Baketaev noted that the situation is under control and citizens should not worry.
In an interview with the "Nomad TV" channel, Finance Minister Almaz Baketaev discussed the current state of the country's external debt, pointing out significant successes achieved by Kyrgyzstan in reducing it over the past few years.
He emphasized that the Republic has made considerable progress in this area over the last four years: "According to the president's instructions, a task was set to reduce external debt. Currently, its level stands at 37% — this is an important achievement."
"We have no overdue obligations. The state can repay part of the debt ahead of schedule; however, it is not advisable to do so at this time," the minister stated.
