“And cruelty towards her is spiritual darkness”
In his address to the people of Kyrgyzstan, titled “Woman — a trusted treasure of the ummah,” Mufti Abdulaziz Zakirov emphasized the importance of caring for women as a sacred duty for men. The relevant message was disseminated by the press service of the muftiate.
According to Zakirov, a woman is a “special creation of Allah,” endowed with softness, kindness, and resilience. Islam has always stressed the necessity of protecting the dignity of women, and the attitude towards them serves as an indicator of a man's faith.
The mufti condemned violence and contempt towards women, urging men to show care, love, and protection for their mothers, wives, and sisters.
“Respect for women is a sign of faith, while cruelty towards them is spiritual darkness,” the mufti emphasized.
