The state budget of Kyrgyzstan finished nine months with a surplus of over 93 billion soms

According to the data from the Central Treasury of the Ministry of Finance, from January to September 2023, the state budget of Kyrgyzstan ended the reporting period with a surplus of 93 billion 407 million soms. This corresponds to 7.5% of the gross domestic product (GDP). This information was published by the National Statistical Committee.

Budget Revenues

The revenue part of the state budget included significant receipts, including from the sale of non-financial assets. A comparison with the same period of the previous year shows that revenues increased by 138 billion 077.9 million soms, which is a 41.3% growth, reaching 472 billion 070.8 million soms, equivalent to 38.1% of GDP.

Budget Expenditures

The expenditure part of the state budget also shows growth. In the nine months of the current year, expenditures increased by 92 billion 496.8 million soms (approximately 32.3%) and amounted to 378 billion 663.8 million soms, which corresponds to 30.5% of GDP.

The budget surplus is due to a faster increase in revenues compared to expenditures, as well as the strengthening of the state's fiscal position in the current year.
