The mandatory fuel marking system was introduced in Kyrgyzstan on October 1, 2024. Special molecular markers are used for marking, which are added to both imported and locally produced fuel.
Starting January 1, 2025, a complete ban on the sale of unmarked gasoline and diesel fuel will be implemented in the republic.
This system helps combat the shadow market, provides consumers with quality fuel, and simplifies tax administration for the State Tax Service.
