Kazakhstan Introduces a Ban on the Export of Oil Products for Six Months

The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has issued a decree imposing a temporary ban on the export of petroleum products and gasoline.

This ban will be in effect from November 20, 2025, to May 20, 2026, and also affects countries that are part of the EAEU. According to the document, the export of gasoline, diesel fuel, and other types of petroleum products using road transport is prohibited. The export of these goods is also banned via rail transport.

Furthermore, from January 1 to June 30, 2026, there will be a ban on the export of light distillates, aviation kerosene, diesel fuel, gas oils, as well as certain chemicals such as toluene and xylene, and petroleum bitumen outside the EAEU.
