In an interview with KNA "Kabar", the head of the Association of Oil Traders Kanatbek Eshatov stated that the supply of gasoline and diesel fuel from Russia continues, although the volumes have decreased. "The situation remains stable thanks to previously accumulated reserves. Our partners, with whom we maintain constant dialogue, assured that all obligations for duty-free supplies of petroleum products will be fulfilled by the end of the year," he noted. Eshatov also added that at the request of Kyrgyzstan, the quota for diesel fuel has been increased.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the government, together with oil traders, is actively seeking alternative options for diversifying fuel supplies. "We are taking all measures to avoid a crisis. There is a plan for alternative sources of supply in case the situation worsens, and this work is ongoing," said the head of the association.

It should be noted that earlier experts discussed the possibility of purchasing additional volumes of petroleum products from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and China. If these supplies turn out to be significantly more expensive than Russian ones, the government is considering the possibility of temporarily canceling excise taxes, VAT, as well as other fees and contributions. These measures will help prevent sharp fluctuations in retail prices at gas stations when exchange prices for petroleum products rise.
