The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with OJSC "Uchkun," responsible for fuel marking, reports that by December 1, 2025, 2 million 142.2 thousand tons of gasoline and diesel fuel have been marked.
During the 11 months of 2025, tax revenues from excise duties on fuel amounted to 3 billion 736.7 million soms.
Compared to the same period in 2024, excise tax revenues increased by 79 million 607.7 thousand soms.
It is worth noting that since October 1, 2024, mandatory marking of both imported and domestic gasoline and diesel fuel has been introduced using molecular markers.
Additionally, starting January 1, 2025, the sale of unmarked gasoline and diesel fuel will be prohibited.
This marking system is aimed at combating the illegal turnover of fuel, improving fuel quality for consumers, and optimizing the administration of excise tax.
