At today's briefing, the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, Azat Kozubekov, noted that a significant problem remains the tense situation in the market for fuel and lubricants.

He explained that the main factors contributing to this situation are the ongoing repair works at Russian oil refineries and the rise in prices for fuel and lubricants imported from Russia.

“For example, as of November 14, 2025, the price of gasoline in Kyrgyzstan increased by 17.3%, while the price of diesel fuel rose by 13.4%. There is also an acceleration in prices in the services and non-food goods segment, which is due to high demand and the indirect impact of rising fuel and lubricant prices. Thus, the inflation rate in the country as of November 14 was 7.3%. Annual inflation on the same date reached 8.9%,” he added.

Kozubekov also emphasized that thanks to the measures taken by the National Bank, inflation in the Kyrgyz Republic remained relatively stable throughout 2025 compared to other countries in the region. Core inflation, excluding the most volatile goods, fell within the target range, noted the Deputy Chairman of the National Bank.
