Prices are rising, tariffs are increasing. What prices have risen the most in Kyrgyzstan

According to the National Statistical Committee, from January to October 2025, consumer prices in Kyrgyzstan increased by 7.1% compared to December 2024. Inflation for the first nine months was 5.5%.

The main changes in prices since the beginning of the year relate to:


Price Changes for Products Since the Beginning of the Year



The largest price increase was observed for fresh fruits, which rose by 42.4%.
Among other goods that have significantly increased in price, fresh fish (up 15.7%), vegetable oils (up 14.4%), and fresh meat (up 12.8%), including horse meat and lamb (both up 17.5%) and beef (up 12.4%) can be highlighted.

There was also an increase in prices for honey (up 7.4%), butter (up 6.2%), fresh vegetables (up 5.6%), flour (up 4.8%), potatoes, and bread (up 3.8%).

Among the goods that have decreased in price, chicken eggs (down 11.5%), animal fats (down 2.3%), and rice (down 1%) can be noted.



Price Dynamics in October



In October 2025, compared to September, prices and tariffs in the country increased by 1.5%. The main changes relate to:



The largest price increase in October affected smoked fish (up 5.1%), dairy products, cheese, and eggs (up 3.9%), as well as beef (up 2.5%) and first-grade wheat flour bread (up 2.4%).

Additionally, animal fats (up 2.3%), fresh vegetables (up 2.1%), and vegetable oils (up 1.7%) saw noticeable price increases.

Interestingly, by the end of October, the National Statistical Committee did not report any product that had decreased in price.



Regional Price Changes


From January to October 2025, prices and tariffs increased in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

The largest increase (9%) was recorded in Osh, which is associated with rising prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco products (up 12.1%).

In the Chui region, the highest price growth for food products and non-alcoholic beverages was observed (up 10.5%), while in the Batken region, it was for non-food products (up 8.1%).
Tariffs for services to the population significantly increased in Bishkek — by 10.4%.
In October 2025, consumer prices and tariffs increased in all regions of the country. In the Batken region, the increase was 2.1%.

Overview of the Food Basket by 24.kg



24.kg continues to monitor prices for a minimum set of products. In the second week of November, the cost of this set increased by 26 soms, reaching 6,532 soms.

Last week in Bishkek, tomatoes and pears became more expensive, while potatoes, cucumbers, peppers, onions, and carrots became cheaper.

24.kg analyzes prices for the same set of products in the same supermarket weekly. It should be noted that prices in stores and markets may vary, and supermarkets often have promotional items.

The analysis shows that since the beginning of our monitoring in late October 2018, the cost of the food basket has increased by 3,262 soms. Compared to the same period in 2024, it has risen by 165 soms, and since the beginning of 2025, it has increased by 465 soms.

Salary Dynamics in Kyrgyzstan



According to the National Statistical Committee, from January to September 2025, the average nominal salary in enterprises and organizations of all types of economic activity increased by 19.5% compared to the same period last year.

Currently, it amounts to 42,757 soms.





As of the end of October 2025, the number of officially registered unemployed in Kyrgyzstan is 41,000 people, which is 25.4% less compared to 2024.
