Inflation in Kyrgyzstan since the beginning of the year has reached 7.1%

From January to October of this year, Kyrgyzstan recorded an inflation rate of 7.1% compared to December of last year. This information was provided by the National Statistical Committee.

The most significant price increase was observed in services for the population, where the growth was 8.9%. Food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 7.4%, while alcohol and tobacco products rose by 6.7%. Non-food goods increased in price by 5.6%.

The rise in consumer prices and tariffs is observed in all regions of the country.

The most significant increase was recorded in the city of Osh — 9%, which is largely associated with the rise in prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco, which increased by 12.1%.

Chuy region showed the highest increase in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages — 10.5%, while Batken region noted an increase in non-food goods — 8.1%. In Bishkek, services increased in price by 10.4%.
