
According to information from the FRP press service, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic has begun issuing loans for women engaged in entrepreneurial activities in various regions of the country. The interest rate on these loans is 12% per annum.
Loans are available for women working in the service and manufacturing sectors, as well as for legal entities where women make up at least half of the founders.
To apply for a loan, it is necessary to:
• Individuals must provide a valid patent or certificate of registration as an individual entrepreneur;
• Legal entities must provide a certificate of state registration.
Loans can be obtained for a term of up to three years for amounts ranging from 50,000 to 3 million soms, with the possibility of a grace period.
This initiative has become possible thanks to the support of the Asian Development Bank, which allocated 22 million soms for the development of women's entrepreneurship with co-financing conditions. The Entrepreneurship Development Fund will add another 22 million soms from its own resources, allowing a total of 44 million soms to be allocated to support women entrepreneurs under this program.
The Fund places special emphasis on supporting women's businesses. Since the beginning of this year, 253 women entrepreneurs have already taken advantage of loans totaling 478 million 435.9 thousand soms to develop and expand their businesses.
