In September, banks issued consumer loans totaling 22.3 billion soms

According to information provided by the NBKR, in September 2025, the volume of consumer loans issued by commercial banks reached a record 22.3 billion soms. This figure became a new historical maximum, surpassing the previous record set in April when the amount was 21 billion soms.

For the first nine months of the current year, the total volume of issued consumer loans amounts to 170.7 billion soms, reflecting an impressive growth of 91.1% compared to the same period last year.

As for the weighted average interest rate on loans, this month it ranged from 21.03% to 22.03%, while last year the rates were between 22.03% and 24.56%.
