According to information from the Ministry of Digital Development, a self-ban on lending is a free and voluntary mechanism that allows citizens to preemptively limit their ability to obtain loans and credits from financial institutions. The initiative was introduced by lawmakers and later signed by President Sadyr Japarov. This measure is aimed at protecting the rights and interests of citizens, as well as their financial independence, noted Bekhtur Aliyev, Deputy Chairman of the National Bank.

Why is a self-ban needed

This mechanism will help citizens avoid unwanted debts and protect their assets. To activate the self-ban, several simple steps must be followed: log into the Tunduk system, select the option "Self-ban on lending," then click "Submit application," choose a credit bureau (KIB "Isheni" or KIB "SES"), and confirm the action. The protection will be activated instantly.

To lift the ban, you need to log back into the same service, select the credit bureau, and click "Lift self-ban." The lifting process will be carried out automatically within 12 hours.

It is important to note that within 12 hours after submitting the application, you can cancel the lifting of the ban by logging into the same service and selecting "Cancel application."
