In Kyrgyzstan, there has been noticeable progress in the employment of persons with disabilities over the past five years.
According to information from the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration, from 2020 to October 2025, 1,584 people were employed, of which 806 are women.
The annual employment statistics are as follows:
- 2020 — 175 people;
- 2021 — 232 people;
- 2022 — 263 people;
- 2023 — 292 people;
- 2024 — 341 people;
- 2025 (as of 10 months) — 221 people.
In addition, since 2022, under the social contract program aimed at supporting self-employment and entrepreneurship among vulnerable groups, assistance has been provided to 3,146 citizens with disabilities.
