As a result of an avalanche that occurred in the autonomous region of Valle d'Aosta in northern Italy, three skiers have died. A representative of the regional rescue service reported this in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to rescuers, the group consisted of two men and one woman, presumably citizens of France. The avalanche occurred in the Courmayeur area, where rescue helicopters, dog handlers, and other emergency services were dispatched.
