A new eruption of Semeru volcano has occurred in central Indonesia, as reported by the agency Report, citing Antara. The ash ejected by the volcano rose to a height of 3,000 meters above the crater, which corresponds to 6,676 meters above sea level. In this regard, the Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation of Indonesia has urged both local residents and tourists to exercise caution and avoid approaching the crater within a distance of less than 5 kilometers to mitigate the risk of being struck by hot rocks ejected by the volcano.
