In the Osh region, in the Nookat district, the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan stopped the activities of supporters of the radical group "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami." It was reported that on February 10, searches were conducted in the homes of 11 activists and adherents of this organization.
During the searches, 217 various items were seized, including 75 books, 14 mobile phones, 18 notebooks, 86 DVDs, 4 tablets, 1 laptop, 2 SIM cards, 14 Russian passports, 1 seal, 1 video cassette, and 1 "Bakay Bank" bank card.
The seized materials will be sent for judicial religious studies expertise. Based on its results, appropriate legal measures will be taken against the participants of the extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami."
