Employees of the Drug Control Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the State Committee for National Security and law enforcement agencies of neighboring countries, successfully intercepted drug trafficking and detained members of a transnational organized crime group.
As a result of a special operation conducted in January 2026, a channel for the supply of synthetic drugs was shut down, and suspects were detained. Eight kilograms of methamphetamine were seized from illegal circulation, which corresponds to more than 50 thousand doses, with a total value of 53 million soms.
Based on the collected materials, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 282 "Illegal production of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, and their analogs for the purpose of sale" of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. For the seized narcotics, forensic chemical examinations have been appointed.
Currently, investigative and operational groups are continuing their work in cooperation with law enforcement agencies of neighboring states, aimed at identifying additional members of the criminal group.
