On March 7, a high-ranking leader of the radical extremist organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir" was detained in the Jalal-Abad region. This information was provided by the press service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic (SCNS).
The detainee was identified as M.N.E., who held the position of masul (leader) in the Suzak district, which is an important position in the hierarchy of this banned organization in the country.
According to the SCNS, he maintained contacts with key figures of "Hizb ut-Tahrir" both in Kyrgyzstan and internationally. For several years, he actively promoted extremist ideas, recruited new followers, distributed literature with extremist content, and collected money from organization members to finance its activities.
As part of the criminal case, the detainee has been placed in the SCNS detention center, where necessary investigative actions are being conducted to identify the structure of the cell and other criminal connections.
